Sign On Bonus $2,500

Responsibilities:

  • Progressive die set up and operation (60 Ton – 400 ton coil fed press)
  • Set up, operate, and tear down automatic and secondary presses
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
  • Perform first piece quality inspection
  • Record all data needed for inventory control purposes including good parts, scrap, and other data as necessary
  • Monitor and notify supervisors of machine wear or damage for preventative maintenance
  • Comply with work scope instructions
  • Meet established production criteria
  • Troubleshoot and make needed adjustments to equipment
  • Perform rework or sorting as required
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Utilize and abide by ISO requirements

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-years previous press experience preferred 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in shop math
  • Ability to set up safety devices such as light curtains and pull backs
  • Familiarity with PLS controls and servo feeds
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Complete background in press operation including single and continuous strokes, emergency stops, die protection, PLS, ram adjustments, die clamping, pilot releases, and cradle functions
  • Knowledge of basic measuring tools including micrometers and calipers
