What is a Sr, Business Systems Specialist?
The Sr. Business Systems Specialist plays a key role in optimizing and maintaining our company's strategic applications including ERP systems, e-commerce solutions, and data analytics and reporting platforms. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and expertise to streamline business processes, enhance data analytics, ensure the seamless integration of various systems and provide technical support to the organization. The hours for this position are 11am-7:30pm.
 
 
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of proven experience working with various IT and Business systems. At least one year of coordinating small projects. At least three years experience in two or more the following areas are required;
  • Supporting and administering ERP systems
  • Managing and supporting e-Commerce solutions
  • Working with and supporting data reporting and analytics tools
  • Support and maintenance of other various business systems
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
1.     Manage and support daily application and system administrative activities including user maintenance, end user reporting/data requests, backup and recovery, database maintenance and other various administrative activities.
2.     Provide application subject matter expertise to support business process improvement and enhancement efforts.
  • Coordinate IT activities with the business and external vendors.
  •  Work with business users to document requirements and create test scripts.
  • Update or partner with third parties to update system configurations and/or integrations to support requirements.
3.     Troubleshoot and resolve problems with system and application configurations and setups.
4.     Provide technical support and maintenance of I.T. systems.
5.     Support an application environment with 250 plus users across multiple locations.
6.     Automate application administrative tasks to improve operational efficiency.
7.  Identifies process improvements and technologies.
8.  Interfaces with software, services vendors and internal accounting department to facilitate the purchase of software and services.
9.  Create and maintain standardization and documentation of technology, policies and processes.
10.  Create and maintain and manage application lists and documentation.
11.  Work independently as well as collaboratively with other IT staff, business functions and external vendors.
12.  Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers, and peers effectively.
13.  Comply with policies, procedures, standards, and rules of the Company.
14.  Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
15.  Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
16.  Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
17.  Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
 
Required Experience and Education
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required.
• At least five years of proven experience working with various IT and Business systems is required. •  At least one year of coordinating small projects is required. • At least three years experience in two of the following areas are required;
  • Supporting and administering ERP systems
  • Managing and supporting e-Commerce solutions
  • Working with and supporting data reporting and analytics tools
  • Support and maintenance of other various business systems
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills. • Work requires a flexible schedule with occasional off hours and weekend availability to support projects and critical issues. • Some travel required (less than 10%), exposure to varying environments and cultures at the job site, changing deadlines, strict time constraints. • Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
 
Preferred Experience
•  Experience with INFOR XA, BigCommerce and Microsoft PowerBI is preferred. • Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus. • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate and Azure Data Fundamentals are preferred. 
 
Physical and Technical Environment
• Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office environment. • Regularly required to walk or stand, bend or twist, climb, reach with hands or arms. • Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator. • Clean and orderly manufacturing environment and/or normal office conditions, changing deadlines and project requirements, strict time constraints.
